Hero: The Life and Legend of Lawrence of Arabia

It’s difficult to take a bigger than life character like Lawrence of Arabia and make him boring. But Hero: The Life and Legend of Lawrence of Arabia by Michael Korda manages to do it. This isn’t a book about T.E. Lawrence, it’s a book about military strategy and political maneuvering. There’s no sense of who Lawrence really was as a person. Very disappointing.
